John Dau Ambulance Appeal

This ambulance will be a lifeline for 80,000 people in this remote and rugged enviroment

The John Dau Foundation operates in an extremely remote and rugged environment; South Sudan. Patients often have to walk up to 70 miles just to reach the Clinic. For a mother laboring with complications, traveling this distance on foot is just not possible. To better serve our population, we are seeking funds to purchase an ambulance. This ambulance will be a lifeline for a population of nearly 80,000 people in an extraordinarily remote region. It will help us reach people in need in a part of the world where no other option for medical care exists.

Your donation will go to the purchase of a Toyota Land cruiser which will be retrofitted with essential medical equipment. The Toyota Land Cruiser is one of very few vehicles which can handle the treacherous terrain in South Sudan; a country with no paved roads. Donations will go to the purchase of the vehicle and medical equipment to outfit the ambulance.
